About the Position
In this responsible and dynamic role, you are in charge of production during a shift at MICAFIL in Altstetten (ZH) and ensure that we continue to strengthen our competitiveness and develop our Swiss branch to meet global market growth. Through your clear communication and open personality, you continuously develop the teams and processes. With strategic foresight and technical know-how, you support the heads of the production teams and develop sustainable solutions that take quality, efficiency, and competitiveness to the next level. What You Can Achieve
- Responsible for a shift team in a production environment, including resource management and team development in a 3-shift operation model (direct leadership, 10-15 FTE)
- Ensuring continuous and high production performance in close coordination with factory planners and the production manager
- Responsibility within the shift for safety, quality, and productivity
- Documentation of shift performance and handover to subsequent shifts
- Support in onboarding new employees into the production process
- Identification and integration of new technologies and best practices to advance the continuous improvement process (CIP) together with our Process Engineering team
- Minimising scrap rates
- Improvement and training of work & maintenance instructions to ensure 3-shift operation
- Monitoring key Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for success measurement and feedback to the production manager
What You Bring
- Technical education and further training (TS / HF) in technology, leadership, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in production, ideally in shift work
- Solid knowledge of Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other process optimisation methods
- Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent skills in time management, communication, and organisation, as well as the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Fluent in German, English is an advantage
