We are looking for a
Senior Research Associate 60%
at the Competence Centre "Disability and Quality of Life" at the Institute for Social Pedagogy and Social Policy from 1 February 2027.Your tasks
- Service contracts in the residential or outpatient sector of disability support, in particular specialist advice and knowledge transfer for teams and institutions
- Independent conception, management and implementation of practice-oriented research and development projects in the field of people with disabilities as well as collaboration in projects
- Acquisition of third-party funding for future research projects
- If suitable and interested: teaching activities in the Bachelor of Social Work as well as in practice-oriented continuing education assignments
Your profile
- Doctorate or Master’s degree in special or remedial education, educational science or social work
- Proven expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods as well as willingness to further develop participatory research approaches with people with disabilities
- Experience in planning and conducting applied research projects
- Practical and/or scientific experience in working with people with disabilities, ideally experience in the field of dealing with challenging behaviour in this group of people
- Structured, efficient and independent working style
- Confident German language skills in spoken and written form, very good English skills as well as knowledge of another national language are desirable
