About the job
The Hospitals of Schaffhausen include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training institution in the canton.

The Hospitals of Schaffhausen (SSH) ensure the basic child and adolescent psychiatric care in the canton of Schaffhausen. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (KJPD) provides outpatient and day-clinic services for children, adolescents and their families under public law mandate.

What Awaits You
- You conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic examinations with children and adolescents and contribute to a well-founded evaluation of the individual situation.
- You take on psychological interventions and support children, adolescents and their caregivers in dealing with psychological and psychosocial challenges.
- You deepen your diagnostic and therapeutic skills and receive professional guidance, supervision and support in your further development.
- You work closely with the interdisciplinary team as well as with parents, schools, doctors and other specialist agencies.
- You actively contribute to the team, participate in case discussions and ensure careful documentation and reporting.
What You Bring to Us
- You have a master’s degree in psychology or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- You enjoy working with children, adolescents and families and want to further develop your professional future in the child and adolescent psychiatric or psychotherapeutic field.
- You approach young people and their caregivers with empathy, appreciation and on an equal footing.
- You enjoy interdisciplinary work, are open to different perspectives and actively engage in collaboration.
- You work reliably, independently and reflectively, are willing to learn and open to professional guidance and supervision.
- You are ready to help shape the KJPD of the Hospitals of Schaffhausen together with our new Chief Physician KJPD.
