Your tasks:
Biopharmaceutical dosage forms and their analytical characterization represent a central future field of pharmaceutical sciences. At the University of Applied Sciences and Arts, you will contribute to the targeted further development of teaching and research in this field. The following tasks await you:
- Active participation in teaching and research in the field of pharmaceutical technology and pharmaceutical analytics with a special focus on biopharmaceuticals
- Development of pharmaceutical formulations and processes as well as (analytical) process control strategies for biopharmaceuticals, bioconjugates, and drug delivery systems
- Design, establishment, and continuous further development of pharmaceutical-analytical methods, including in-process analytics, process analytical technologies, and release analytics in an industrial context
- Recruitment, establishment, and leadership of your own research group in your field of expertise
- Planning, application, and execution of third-party funded research projects, including collaboration with industry partners
- Design and independent execution of lectures, seminars, practical courses, and exercises at bachelor and master levels as well as in continuing education; supervision of student project and thesis work
- Maintenance and development of contacts with industry as well as active exchange for continuous updating of teaching content and development of joint research and thesis projects
Your profile:
You have broad and profound expertise in pharmaceutical technology and analytics and combine scientific excellence with enthusiasm for teaching. In addition, you bring the following:
- University degree (ETH/University) in pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology, or pharmaceutical engineering as well as a doctorate in one of these fields
- Scientific qualification with publication activity
- At least 5 years of industry or practical experience
- Proven expertise in areas central to the job profile, e.g., development of biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical process development, (bio-)analytics, process control and monitoring
- Experience in conducting research projects, interdisciplinary work, project management, and acquisition of third-party funding
- Leadership skills and experience in building and leading scientific groups
- Ability to handle complex issues in pharmaceutical research
- International networking
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form (university teaching level)
- Higher education didactic qualification or willingness to acquire it within the first years
