Who we are
The University of Bern educates over 19,400 students and employs more than 8,000 staff across around 150 institutes as well as the central administration. It uses a highly diverse spatial infrastructure spread over approximately 130 properties for these activities. The Operations and Technology (OT) department is responsible for the efficient and economical operation of buildings.
What you can achieve
As part of Commercial Property Management, you combine property management, administration and controlling. You process creditor documents in eForms, evaluate cost and performance data in SAP and prepare reports for the management of building operations. In doing so, you create transparency and support well-founded decisions in facility management.
- Check, code and process creditor documents for building operations in eForms
- Evaluate cost, performance and operational data in SAP and prepare meaningful controlling reports
- Charge operating costs and services to third-party users
- Receive enquiries via the main number as well as record, triage and forward tickets to the responsible departments
- Contribute to the professional support and training of commercial apprentices
- Administratively manage service contracts and maintain contract data in the CAFM system Planon
- Administratively manage company vehicles and university parking spaces
- Handle insurance cases and property damage
- Take on further administrative and organisational tasks in Commercial Property Management
What you bring
- Completed commercial basic training with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ)
- Experience in creditor processing and working with SAP
- Strong numerical understanding and enjoyment of evaluations and controlling tasks
- Confident use of Excel and digital systems; experience with CAFM systems is an advantage
- Independent, reliable and structured way of working
- High service awareness as well as good communication and teamwork skills
- Very good German skills; French and English skills are an advantage
