The Department of Medicine (DMED) consists of 14 medical-care units (12 medical services, 1 Short Investigation and Treatment Unit (UITB), and the Blood Transfusion Center (CTS)) with the particularity of including technical platforms (such as interventional cardiology and digestive and pulmonary endoscopy), several treatment and care platforms (biological treatments, photopheresis, and medical care), 1 hospital and outpatient dialysis center, and 3 rehabilitation and reconditioning programs. Furthermore, the medical-care activity is strongly dedicated to inpatients (9 care units, 160 beds) with internal consultants benefiting patients managed by other medical departments.
Job Description
Within the team of the Admission and Billing Center of the Department of Medicine (CAF), you are responsible for admissions. You ensure the reception and admission of patients according to the procedures and rules in force. You provide information to anyone presenting at admissions and are the guarantor of identity vigilance from an administrative perspective. You manage rejections related to non-compliant information.
Your interpersonal skills and communication abilities allow you to welcome all patients with excellent service quality. You know how to act diplomatically and calmly, especially when dealing with a dissatisfied or nervous person. As the first contact, you embody the image of the institution through your work.
Moreover, you coordinate transportation means for patients who require it. Similarly, you offer personalized service to vulnerable patients in collaboration with internal support partners such as social workers or the complex cases unit.
Within the team, you engage in a service continuity dynamic by covering for colleagues during absences and promoting information exchange within the team. You do not hesitate to improve your skills by seeking appropriate assistance. More generally, you contribute to all activities aimed at improving service quality.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification.
You have perfect command of the French language. You have knowledge of English or another language.
You master HUG software (GRECO, DPI, DPA, etc.).
You have prior experience in a field related to reception and/or health.
You have the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. You are capable of undertaking and managing several tasks simultaneously, and have a sense of organization, planning, and prioritization.
You possess tact, courtesy, and a keen sense of human relations. You have strong stress resistance and demonstrate discretion.
