Who needs your support

An established Swiss corporate group from the leisure and entertainment sector with a focus on gastronomy and entertainment. Your workplace is the corporate IT: As a System Engineer, you support around 200 users at two locations in Switzerland together with a small, well-coordinated team. You join at a time when structures and processes are being newly established – your own ideas count more than simply following instructions.

Your tasks

The IT environment runs hybrid: on-premises on Windows Server and VMware, in the cloud on Microsoft 365 and Azure. You ensure that both run stably and develop them further. Because structures and processes are currently being created, much is not yet defined – if you can solve something more cleanly or automatically, you implement it.

Your tasks at a glance:

• You operate and expand the Windows Server landscape including Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP as well as file and print services.
• You manage Microsoft 365 and Azure and further develop Identity & Access Management with Entra ID.
• You operate the VMware virtualisation.
• You automate recurring administrative tasks with PowerShell.
• In case of disruptions, you investigate the cause and solve the problem permanently, if necessary together with external service providers.

What makes you the ideal candidate

It is crucial that you have operated a Microsoft environment yourself for several years, ideally in a broadly based role where you handled everything from server to client. Simply following instructions will not make you happy here: You work independently and contribute your own suggestions.

What you should bring:

• Completed IT training, ideally in system technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience as a System Engineer in a Microsoft environment: Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure.
• Good knowledge of VMware.
• Experience in automation with PowerShell.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty.
• Very good German and good technical English.
