To strengthen our Medications team, we are looking for a specialist immediately or by arrangement

Specialist Medications 80-100% (m/f/d)

Your Role

As a Medications Specialist, you take responsibility for reviewing and assessing complex applications concerning medications on a case-by-case basis. You negotiate with pharmaceutical companies on an equal footing and ensure that economic, medical and legal aspects are optimally considered. With your well-founded arguments, you make comprehensible decisions and are the central contact person for internal and external stakeholders. In doing so, you combine expertise in the pharmaceutical field with a clear focus on service quality and patient benefit, taking into account legal and regulatory requirements.

Your Tasks

• You review complex cost approval applications for medicines on a case-by-case basis (Art. 71a-d KVV) as well as for medicines with an existing pricing model – in close cooperation with the trusted medical service.
• You conduct negotiations with pharmaceutical companies regarding pricing and discount granting for medicines used outside Swissmedic approval or the limitation of the specialty list and reimbursed from basic insurance (Art. 71a-d KVV).
• You write well-founded and comprehensible justifications for your decisions, thereby supporting our customers.
• You are the central contact person internally and externally for all questions concerning medications in the area of Article 71a-d KVV and pricing models.

Your Profile

• You have a medical or paramedical education and bring solid knowledge in the pharmaceutical field.
• You have experience in the claims area of a health insurance company.
• Ideally, you have further training in the commercial field and/or in health or social insurance.
• You think in networks, communicate clearly and convince with sound arguments.
• You like to take responsibility and work independently.
• You put our customers at the centre and offer them excellent service.
• You have very good oral and written skills in German; knowledge of English and/or French is an advantage.
