The Fire Protection Competence Center of MES (Migros Engineering Solutions) within the Migros Cooperative Federation is the central point of contact for all fire protection issues within the Migros community and actively promotes the further development of the topic both inside and outside the Migros community.

Important notes: Responsibility for the execution of numerous projects throughout Switzerland for the Migros Group

What you will achieve

• Consulting and support for the companies of the Migros Group (industry, logistics centres, branches, etc.) in all matters of fire protection
• Provision of fire protection services in all project phases (conceptualisation, planning, optimisation, verification, implementation)
• Preparation of risk analyses in the area of operational infrastructure and support of engineering verification procedures for the implementation of effective, economical fire protection measures
• Leadership and support of the specialist planners and experts involved in the planning and construction process in the field of fire protection
• Training and informing the specialist personnel of the Migros community, as well as representing Migros in external specialist lectures and committee work
• Representing Migros interests as a professional client and operator vis-à-vis authorities and external project partners in all matters of fire protection

What you bring

• Education: Completed studies (University/ETH, FH, HF)
• Field: In engineering or architecture and further training as a fire protection expert VKF or fire protection specialist VKF
• Professional experience: Several years of experience in planning and accompanying demanding construction projects in the field of fire protection
• Broad project experience in the role of fire protection expert VKF
• Willingness to contribute your expertise in construction projects as well as in the lifecycle management of buildings across the entire portfolio
• Successful management of negotiations with fire protection authorities and project participants
• Diplomatic manner and economic thinking to enforce and implement optimal solutions
• German (C1)
• French (B2)
