Childcare Specialist Day Structure Brunnmatt

Support & Care: You accompany and support children of primary school age individually and in groups. You organise a varied leisure time with games, creative activities, exercise and excursions and take daily responsibility for a group.

Initiative & Teamwork: You are proactive and work actively in a committed and collegial team. You support the educational leaders and the day structure management energetically in implementing the concept and further developing the location.

Attitude & Networking: You embody the integrative attitude of our location and live it as a role model in everyday care. You network within the school building with specialists and teachers, school social work and other stakeholders.

Experience: You bring several years of experience as a childcare specialist and accompany children in kindergarten and primary school age with joy and professional competence. Ideally, you have experience with children in grades 4 to 6.

Personality: You are an open, authentic and responsible personality. Appreciative interaction with children, parents and the team is natural to you, and you quickly build trusting relationships.

Education: You have completed training as a Childcare Specialist EFZ. For foreign qualifications, recognised equivalence is required.

Language: You have good spoken German skills and communicate confidently in written standard German as well as in dialect.

The Public Schools division of the Department of Education Basel-Stadt covers the entire compulsory school period, from kindergarten through primary school to secondary school. It is responsible for school operations and school care services outside of teaching hours. The division advocates for an inclusive school where all children are accepted and supported according to their abilities.

The Day Structure Brunnmatt offers a diverse care programme during 38 school weeks for children from kindergarten to 6th grade. Spread over eight groups, more than 200 children are accompanied in total. The Day Structure Brunnmatt is thus one of the largest day structures in the canton of Basel-Stadt. The percentage of the position is distributed over 5 days a week and 41 weeks a year.
