Specialist Department Head Civil Engineering Works (80 - 90 %)
Area of responsibility
As a member of the Construction-Planning Department (Building Administration), you will be responsible as the specialist department head for civil engineering works for the following areas:
- Management of the Civil Engineering Works department and deputy to the Building Administrator
- Management and personnel leadership of the Technical Services (Depot/Caretakers)
- Ensuring the development of the municipality in terms of development engineering and traffic planning
- Management of the general drainage plan (GEP) as well as the general water supply plan (GWP)
- Ensuring the technical operation, operational safety, as well as the expansion and maintenance of the municipality's own infrastructure (supply and disposal systems, roads, squares, green areas, streams, etc.)
- Technical and legal advice to municipal authorities
- Preparation and management of planning assignments in the area of traffic
- Construction management of small and overall construction management of larger infrastructure projects
Profile / Requirements You have completed training in civil engineering (Technician TS, Construction Foreman) or an equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience in a similar role in the construction industry or public administration. Knowledge of administrative, construction, planning, environmental, and tender law is an advantage. You are characterised by your organisational and negotiation skills and are flexible, assertive, and resilient. An exact, reliable, and independent working style rounds off your profile. You are skilled in personal and written communication with the public, authorities, and offices. You are willing to attend evening meetings.
