As part of the development of our commercial organisation, we are recruiting a Business Manager to join our teams in Mies, Switzerland, for a permanent position available from 1st October 2026.
A true driver of IOTA’s commercial growth, the Business Manager will be responsible for developing new client accounts, identifying business opportunities and managing the full project cycle, from prospecting to operational follow-up of assignments.
Job Description
As a Business Manager, you will actively contribute to the commercial development of IOTA Group by identifying new opportunities and building lasting relationships with clients in Switzerland and internationally.
A genuine hunter profile, you will be involved in the entire sales cycle: from prospecting to negotiation, through to project and consultant follow-up. You will work in an international, demanding and dynamic environment, interacting with clients, consultants and multicultural internal teams.
Commercial Development
- Identify and develop new client accounts;
- Actively prospect and build a solid sales pipeline;
- Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions;
- Participate in commercial and contractual negotiations;
- Contribute to the development of the commercial performance within your scope.
Client Relationship & Project Follow-up
- Be the primary contact for clients throughout projects;
- Build a trusting relationship with various stakeholders;
- Ensure the successful completion of assignments and maintain client satisfaction;
- Identify new opportunities with existing clients.
Talent Development
- Identify and maintain a network of consultants, experts and strategic profiles;
- Collaborate with internal teams to effectively meet client needs;
- Contribute to talent enhancement and the development of new business opportunities.
Management & Performance
- Monitor your portfolio activity and provide regular reporting;
- Contribute to project monitoring with a focus on quality, rigour and profitability;
- Work in coordination with support teams to ensure a high level of service.
This position is aimed at a person with a strong commercial temperament, results-oriented, comfortable with prospecting, client relations and solution development in an international context.
Qualifications
Education
- Master’s, Bachelor’s or equivalent in commerce, business administration, engineering or related discipline; any internationally recognised training is welcome: university, business school, engineering school, Swiss HES/HEG or foreign equivalent.
- The value of practical experience outweighs the degree title: an atypical background demonstrating real commercial mastery in an international context will be appreciated.
Experience
- 0 to 3 years of B2B commercial experience or first significant experience in an international environment.
- Knowledge of technical assistance, staffing, consulting, engineering services or related sectors.
- First experience through internship, work-study or VIE in an international commercial context is valued.
- Demonstrated appetite for business development and prospecting.
- Familiarity with the phases of an industrial project and contractual issues in a cross-border context.
- Experience in a Swiss environment or in a Swiss-based structure is appreciated: understanding of Swiss labour law, culture of precision and contractual rigour.
