You will be joining Pictet Wealth Management Geneva and will be part of the Client Business Compliance (CBC) Monitoring team, based in Geneva.
Your role
As a member of the CBC Monitoring Team, your mission is to support the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism, in accordance with regulations such as AMLA, OBA-FINMA and CDB20.
You will perform the various activities carried out by the team, including, among others, transaction monitoring, client screening, correspondent banks’ requests and payment filtering.
Depending on operational needs, you may be asked to assist with other compliance-related activities. You will be entrusted with the following responsibilities :
- Transaction monitoring: Reviewing and analyzing client transactions to detect suspicious or unusual activity.
- Client screening: Conducting due diligence checks on clients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Correspondent banks’ requests: Managing and responding to requests from correspondent banks, particularly those related to sanctions and other compliance matters.
- Payment filtering: Screening payments to identify and block transactions that may involve sanctioned individuals, entities or jurisdictions.
- Carrying out and following up on all necessary clarification processes to resolve alerts or issues identified during monitoring activities.
- Ensuring frequent interactions with the Front Office, providing guidance and acting as an advisor on compliance matters.
- Interacting with various internal stakeholders and delivering presentations to the AML Committees as required.
- Taking charge of ad hoc projects related to the team’s activities, under the supervision of the Team Manager.
Your profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar compliance position within private banking in Switzerland
- Master’s degree required; a Certificate in Compliance Management is an asset
- Strong interest in regulatory issues and the AML field; very good knowledge of AMLA, OBA-FINMA, the Swiss banks’ code of conduct and related case law
- Excellent command of French and English (oral and written); additional languages are a plus
- Proficient in standard IT tools, including banking software and MS Office
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Flexible, versatile and conscientious; able to communicate precisely and distil important information
- Able to show discretion and handle confidential matters appropriately
- Team player
- Residence in Switzerland required, or willingness to relocate
