The Peace Court primarily serves as the child and adult protection authority. It acts upon request or ex officio. After the procedure is completed, a decision is made on whether a measure is ordered. The Peace Court judge also has responsibilities in inheritance law and in the area of judicial restraining orders.

Your tasks
- Drafting decisions in civil law, especially in the area of adult and child protection law in French and German
- Participation in meetings of the adult and child protection authority and minute-taking at court hearings
- Management of the court clerk’s office: contacts with the persons concerned and their close relations as well as with external offices, especially for the legal support of guardians and third parties
- Telephone and general information services
- Legal research
- Maintaining court files and drafting general correspondence
Desired profile
- Completed university degree in law (Licence or Master)
- Several years of professional experience, preferably as a court clerk
- Excellent spelling skills, independence, resilience and ability to work in a team
- Communication and organisational skills as well as pleasant manners
- Excellent IT skills
- Fluency in French or German with very good oral and written knowledge of the other language
