As an Application Developer AI & Data, you are the technical driver of innovation within our corporate group, operating at the interface between construction, engineering, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence. Together with our companies, you develop modern applications, automation solutions, and intelligent assistance systems that sustainably transform our processes.

You accompany projects from the initial idea through the prototype to productive implementation, taking on both technical development and integration into our existing system landscape. In doing so, you work closely with the specialist departments, our ICT, and external development partners.

Your focus is on practical, scalable, and economical solutions that provide real added value for our employees and customers.

Your tasks 

Software and application development 

• Development of modern software solutions for all companies of the allvaco group AG
• Programming of web, desktop, and cloud applications
• Development of internal business applications to digitalise our business processes
• Development from prototypes to productive enterprise solutions
• Further development of existing applications

AI & Artificial Intelligence 

• Development of data- and AI-supported applications along our entire value chain
• Building intelligent corporate assistants based on modern Large Language Models
• Development of RAG systems (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
• Development and integration of AI agents and multi-agent systems
• Implementation of modern MCP architectures
• Development of intelligent workflow automations
• Evaluation of new AI technologies regarding their economic benefit

Data management & integration 

• Building a group-wide data model
• Development of modern data pipelines
• Integration of ERP, CRM, CAD, BIM, and DMS systems
• Development of APIs and interfaces
• Structuring and preparation of structured and unstructured data

Architecture & quality 

• Design of modern software architectures
• Ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Review of external software developments
• Support in make-or-buy decisions
• Documentation and continuous development of applications

Innovation & digitalisation 

• Monitoring new technologies and software trends
• Development of new digitalisation initiatives
• Consulting specialist departments regarding digitalisation and AI
• Active participation in shaping the group-wide digitalisation strategy

What you bring 

Education 

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or data science
• Alternatively architecture or civil engineering with a strong affinity for software and IT
• Several years of experience in software development

Software engineering 

• Very good programming skills in Python
• Experience with modern frameworks (FastAPI, Django or comparable)
• Experience with Git, DevOps, and modern development processes
• Knowledge of relational databases as well as NoSQL
• Experience in developing modern APIs

AI & data engineering 

• Practical experience with Large Language Models
• Prompt engineering
• Fine-tuning of language models
• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Vector databases
• Embeddings
• LangChain, LlamaIndex or comparable frameworks
• Processing of unstructured data
• Entity extraction
• Semantic search
• AI agents and MCP

Cloud & infrastructure 

• Experience with Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms
• Docker
• CI/CD
• MLOps
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes is an advantage
