As Lead Buyer HVAC, you take on a central role in the further development of our category strategy in the areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and sanitation. You are an experienced professional with solid expertise in strategic and operational procurement in the construction environment and are responsible for the holistic management of your category across all relevant BKP positions (CH).
Your focus is on actively shaping and implementing a future-oriented category strategy in close collaboration with the business units. In doing so, you identify market potentials, develop sustainable procurement strategies and make a significant contribution to optimising costs, quality and supplier performance.

The workplace is flexibly designed and includes assignments at the headquarters in Opfikon as well as home office.
Your responsibilities:
- In this role, you share responsibility for implementing the category strategy in the HVAC area and work closely with the Head Lead Buyer and representatives of the business units. You are also responsible for the entire category in your region, including all BKP positions (CH), and drive its continuous development forward.
- You analyse and manage risks within the category, prepare forecasts for procurement and business (including price developments, critical suppliers and supply chain risks) and ensure proactive risk early detection.
- In addition, you consolidate and coordinate project requirements within your category and ensure efficient and strategically aligned demand planning.
- You negotiate and conclude framework agreements with strategic partners and actively contribute to optimising conditions and purchasing structures.
- You enjoy close collaboration with projects, construction sites, project managers and branches. You take on operational procurement, support costing with your expertise and bring your knowledge early into complex projects to optimise costs and processes.
Your profile:
- You have successfully completed vocational training in (construction) procurement, alternatively a degree in civil engineering or business administration, or have several years of experience in construction execution in the HVAC area.
- Furthermore, you bring solid expertise in HVAC as well as several years of experience in strategic procurement in the main or secondary construction trades and possess excellent market knowledge and a pronounced technical understanding in this area and adjacent trades.
- You have good knowledge of contract law and convince with strong communication skills, social competence, assertiveness and negotiation skills.
- Moreover, you are characterised by an independent, solution-oriented working style with high personal commitment, team spirit and good analytical skills and impress with a positive, confident and representative appearance.
- You are willing to travel and communicate in German and ideally in French; additional languages complete your profile.
