Responsibilities:
You assess technical requirements from a purchasing perspective and provide optimisation proposals.
You procure new components based on defined product group and supplier strategies.
In development projects, you coordinate purchasing activities with internal specialist departments.
You prepare and conduct make-or-buy analyses as well as tenders.
You monitor cost potentials throughout the entire product lifecycle.
You accompany supplier approvals and initial sampling for new components.
For product launches and phase-outs, you coordinate cross-site supply chain topics.
You prepare key figures, master data, and evaluations for decision-making.
Qualifications:
Completed studies in engineering or industrial engineering.
Several years of experience in international technical purchasing or product development.
Practical experience in mechanical and plant engineering, automotive, or medical technology.
Knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes for mechanics, electronics, and machining.
Experience with project management and matrix organisations.
Confident use of MS Office and good SAP knowledge in R/3 or S/4HANA.
Confident negotiation skills with suppliers as well as a strong understanding of costs.
Very good German and good English skills.
