Job description
As a Telecom Infrastructure Specialist, you will join our teams in Geneva to manage, optimise and secure telecom infrastructures within complex public sector environments. You will be responsible for identifying, planning and leading strategic projects aimed at enhancing the performance, security and resilience of telecom networks and equipment.
🔥 Your responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of datacentres and telecom infrastructure
- Operate, maintain and ensure upkeep of IT premises (datacentres, telecom nodes, POPs, TT premises)
- Plan radio coverage within buildings (wifi, GSM, DECT)
- Coordinate the installation of fixed equipment connected to the network (cameras, antennas, intercoms, access controls, etc.)
- Provide user support (network and wifi extensions, etc.)
- Ensure sector on-call duty according to the established schedule (standby service)
- Handle resolution of level 2 incidents assigned to the sector
- Document projects and sites
🎯 Your profile
- 7 to 10 years of experience in desktop support, infrastructure and telecom, including at least 5 years as a telecom engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or telecommunications (HES engineer diploma), ideally complemented by continuing education at CAS level
- Proficiency in telecom installations (physical networks, access controls, thermal containment) and coordination of installations (active equipment, wifi antennas, indoor GSM, DECT infrastructure, intercoms)
- Skills in operating datacentres, POPs, TT premises, and tools for radio planning and wifi quality measurements
- Good knowledge of video surveillance systems, telecom technical standards, Cisco network equipment, network services (Ethernet, IP routing, VLAN)
- Native French speaker. English is a plus
- You demonstrate team spirit, good listening and communication skills, as well as a willingness for continuous learning
