Role:
A stable cloud does not arise by chance but through thoughtful engineering. This is exactly where you come in as an Azure Operations Engineer, taking responsibility for a modern Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Network, identities, and devices interlock with you. With your technical foresight, you elevate the platform step by step to a new level.
Responsibilities:
You plan virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups (NSG) and implement compute and storage services precisely.
You continuously administer and optimise central infrastructure services and the Windows Server environment.
Additionally, you operate Windows 365, Microsoft Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
You configure Microsoft Entra ID and ensure secure access, effective backup solutions, and reliable recovery.
Furthermore, you develop cloud components via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and optimise resources regarding cost, security, and performance.
You also analyse complex incidents, support cloud migrations, and ensure high availability with monitoring and alerting.
Qualifications:
You bring at least 3 years of solid experience in Azure cloud engineering and Windows system technology.
You know central IaaS and PaaS components in detail, from virtual machines to private networking.
You are proficient with DNS, VPN, firewalls, and hybrid network connections.
Furthermore, you impress with solid scripting skills in PowerShell and practical experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
You are familiar with Azure Monitor, recovery concepts, as well as RBAC, app registrations, and enterprise applications in Entra ID.
Moreover, you tackle tricky problems in a structured way, enjoy sharing your knowledge within the team, and feel equally at home with German and English technical documentation.
