Position at a glance

As a Proposal Manager, you are responsible for the professional management and coordination of tenders and proposals – from the initial enquiry to the final submission. You orchestrate the collaboration between the individual departments and ensure that our proposals are created with high quality, persuasiveness, and on time.

In addition, you play a central role in optimising and standardising the proposal processes.

Your tasks include:

• Independent analysis and evaluation of tender documents, RFQs, technical specifications, and customer requirements
• Identification and assessment of technical, commercial, and contractual requirements and risks
• Review of contract terms and identification of critical or risky contractual clauses
• Overall responsibility for the structured and timely preparation of proposals
• Planning, organising, and moderating proposal kick-off meetings as well as regular follow-up meetings
• Coordination and management of the involved departments throughout the entire proposal phase
• Definition and implementation of a structured proposal strategy considering customer requirements, technical solutions, costs, deadlines, and risks

• Responsibility for the holistic management of the internal proposal process and its ongoing optimisation and standardisation

• Building and further developing a structured knowledge and reference database for future tenders

Your profile:

• Several years of professional experience in mechanical and plant engineering in a comparable role is essential

• Solid experience in proposal, tender, or bid management
• Knowledge in the energy-from-waste sector, power plant construction, or industrial plant engineering is an advantage
• Very good technical understanding and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical contexts
• Strong commercial understanding and experience with cost calculations
• Confident handling of technical specifications and contract documents
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• High sense of responsibility and assertiveness
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, are essential
