auto-schweiz is the association of official automobile importers. Our members distribute passenger cars and commercial vehicles, buses, and coaches through their approximately 4,000 brand dealers in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. auto-schweiz provides services for its members and the public, including in the areas of traffic and environmental policy, statistics, and motor vehicle technology. Politically, auto-schweiz advocates for the motor vehicle industry, motorised individual transport, road freight transport, and motorists. At the same time, motorised traffic is undergoing a major transformation process, moving away from fossil fuels towards climate-neutral technologies, especially electromobility.
We are looking for a
Media Spokesperson (100%)
Your main tasks:
- Responsibility for media work and the public appearance of auto-schweiz (press releases, press conferences, campaigns, responding to media enquiries, writing articles and interviews)
- Responsibility for internal and external communication (website presence, blog posts, newsletters, social media)
- Responsibility for preparing board meetings and taking minutes
- Responsibility for preparing and conducting PR meetings with members and taking minutes
- Drafting circular letters for member communication within the area of responsibility
- Supporting internal and external network maintenance (members, partner associations, politics and administration)
- Coordinating the political processing of matters from the motorised mobility sector
- Coordinating the preparation of presentations, statements, consultations, and position papers
- Delivering lectures and participating in panel discussions on the association’s key topics

The following skills are required for successful performance in this role:
- In-depth expertise in the automotive industry
- Extensive experience and proven professional skills in public relations
- Large network among automotive and business journalists
- Analytical and structured working style
- Focus on high-quality work
- Above-average commitment
- Language skills: excellent, stylistically confident German and French, both spoken and written. English skills are an advantage
- Integrity and loyalty
- High willingness to travel and above-average flexibility
