Your tasks

• Operation and maintenance of the school building and technical systems
• Carrying out maintenance activities
• Cleaning of interior and exterior areas
• Maintenance and care of the outdoor area
• Participation in supply and disposal
• Support of building users in operational matters
• Taking on on-call duty

Your background

• Training as a Facility Management Specialist EFZ / specialising in building services or comparable manual-technical training
• Initial professional experience
• Customer orientation and strong service awareness
• Driving licence category B
• Due to on-call duty, the workplace must be reachable within 30 minutes

Building Department

The Building Department is a service unit of the Construction and Environmental Protection Directorate. It develops, manages and realises new builds and conversions and is responsible for the management, maintenance and repair of cantonal buildings.
With around 320 employees, the Building Department looks after all properties in the administrative, financial and fiduciary assets of the canton as well as the cantonal tenancies. It is responsible for the purchase and sale of cantonal land as well as the planning and construction of public buildings within its area of responsibility. It is responsible for the planning, implementation and supervision of structural and operational building maintenance including upkeep, cleaning, supply and disposal as well as property management including rental, lease and building rights. Furthermore, the Building Department accompanies selected contaminated site remediation projects as a client representative, where the canton of Basel-Landschaft bears high failure costs.
