What you will do here
- Teach computer science topics in our bachelor programs in a practice-oriented manner, design and further develop courses
- Supervise students in project work and theses at the bachelor and master levels
- Especially support students in the Industrial Engineering program in all years of study, from data analysis to app development with low-/no-code approaches to AI applications in an industrial environment
- Contribute specialized subject topics to continuing education offerings and acquire and supervise applied research projects in your own area of expertise
- Bring experience and creativity to our technology-enthusiastic faculty and the large network of Bern University of Applied Sciences
- Shape the future with us and our students – through the development and active use of tomorrow's information technologies!
What you ideally bring with you
- University degree at the master’s level (or equivalent qualification) in computer science, business informatics, or a related field
- Affinity for topics and issues in the business world
- At least 5 years of relevant practical experience in software development, system integration, data or security management
- Enjoyment and skill in conveying demanding teaching content
- Proven experience in project management and enjoyment of teamwork
- Interest in applied research, good communication skills, and experience in project acquisition
- Native German speaker (C2), very good English skills (C1) – both are teaching languages; knowledge of French is an advantage
