METAS – or the Federal Institute of Metrology – is the reference institute in Switzerland for measurements and measuring instruments. To ensure that a litre is always a litre (for example when you fill up), METAS carries out calibrations, conformity assessments and provides advice to the economy, research and administration. A trusted source, especially socially and politically, metrological accuracy is essential in many fields: road traffic, electricity billing, time dissemination, measurements for the environment and health, etc. In short, at METAS, disciplines have been meeting and interacting since 1862.
Your tasks
- design, create and operate cloud and SaaS platforms, and contribute to incident, change and problem management
- collaborate with internal specialised departments and external suppliers, write and maintain technical documentation
- configure and administer Entra ID, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune (device management), Exchange Online, Conditional Access and security features
- support external partners technically during design, implementation and migration phases
Your profile
- professional training as an IT specialist with a Federal VET Diploma, supplemented by relevant further education (e.g. Higher Technical School in IT or equivalent qualification), and several years of experience in engineering and operating cloud platforms, especially Microsoft 365, Azure and AWS
- proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Azure, and knowledge of AWS. Ideally, experience with cloud platforms, on-premise systems, open source tech stacks and IT security
- enjoyment in taking responsibility, autonomy, structured working method and willingness to establish sustainable operations
- service orientation, committed personality, reliability, team spirit and willingness to perform on-call duties
- proficiency in one official language (German or French), good knowledge of a second official language and strong English skills
