Social Pedagogue for the Daily Organisation of the After-School Care

Tasks

• Social pedagogical support and promotion of pupils in practical life, hygiene and social areas using ASD-specific aids as well as supported communication (SC) and Metacom
• Collaboration in the development of individual support plans in close coordination with the job partner and the class team
• Coordination of the flow of information between after-school care and class teams, leading after-school care meetings as well as participating in school location discussions and internal school training
• Process responsibility for the organisation of the daily structure and holiday care
• Close cooperation with the care management as well as interdisciplinary cooperation within the school and care team

Profile

• Completed training as a social pedagogue or a comparable qualification
• Commitment to pupils with special needs and enjoyment in working with people from different cultures
• Motivated, open and resilient personality profile with a positive view of people
• High flexibility as well as pronounced team and communication skills
• Independent working style combined with the ability to think and act in a networked manner

About us

The Special Education School of the City of Zurich is a day special school for children aged 4 to 15 with cognitive and/or multiple impairments. We offer pupils, who are taught in separate classes in various school buildings of the City of Zurich, a supportive environment and focus the interdisciplinary promotion on their strengths.

Our teams at the various locations in the City of Zurich consist of school special educators, social pedagogues, care professionals, apprentices, assistants as well as speech therapists and psychomotor therapists.
