As Head of Quality, you will take overall responsibility for quality management, quality assurance and food safety along our value chain, from raw material procurement through production to delivery. In doing so, you will lead a dedicated quality team of around 16 employees.
This role is ideal for you if you want to think about quality strategically, anchor it operationally and make it effective in everyday life together with people.
Head of Quality - Ovomaltine & Caotina (f/m/d) 80–100%
You are close to production, the people and the decisions and have the opportunity to actively shape our quality culture, further develop standards and implement sustainable improvements together with your team:
- Further development of the quality culture: anchoring quality as a lived self-understanding in the company and continuously developing it further
- Leadership & development of the quality team: professional and personnel management of QM, QA and laboratory with a focus on responsibility, development and performance
- Food safety & compliance: ensuring and further developing all relevant standards and regulations (including IFS/BRC, HACCP)
- Audit management: planning, preparation and confident support of internal and external audits as well as customer and authority inspections
- Collaboration with production: close, practical coordination to ensure pragmatic and sustainable quality solutions in everyday life
- Education: A completed degree in food science, food technology, food chemistry or a comparable qualification.
- Professional experience: Several years of experience in quality management, quality assurance or quality control in the food industry, ideally in a SME-related production environment.
- Standards & regulations: Good knowledge of relevant food safety, quality and hygiene regulations, especially GFSI, ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 as well as international requirements.
- Audit & authority competence: Experience with internal and external audits, certifications as well as dealing with authorities, customer requirements, certification bodies or contract manufacturers.
- Leadership: You lead with clarity and responsibility, make confident decisions even in demanding situations and convince with a solution-oriented, pragmatic manner.
- Communication & language: Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, combined with strong communication skills, assertiveness and a confident appearance.
