IT Infrastructure & Operations Specialist (m/f/d)
Role:
An internationally active organisation is seeking an experienced professional for the operation and further development of a modern IT landscape. In this versatile role, you combine operational infrastructure work with project management and take on an important role in the implementation of global IT solutions.
You work independently on demanding infrastructure and network tasks, support with complex technical problems, and ensure reliable IT operations together with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the operational stability and security of the server, network, and application infrastructure
Management and coordination of IT projects including resource planning, budget monitoring, progress control, and implementation
Active technical participation in international infrastructure and technology projects
Handling demanding incidents and problems in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
Administration and support of defined IT services and specialised applications as well as management of external IT partners
Support during critical disruptions as part of an on-call service
Qualifications:
Completed IT training, degree in computer science/system engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, system engineering, or IT operations
Experience in the professional leadership or coordination of internal teams and external service providers
Very good knowledge of Microsoft server technologies and ideally experience with Citrix, VMware, and backup solutions such as Veeam
Confident handling of network and security technologies, especially routing, VLAN, LAN, WAN, and firewalls
Strong problem-solving skills, experience in 2nd-/3rd-level support, and good to very good German and English skills
