Head of Department Real Estate / Sports

Baar is an attractive and growing municipality in Zug with around 25,000 inhabitants and almost as many jobs. We are looking for a Head of Department Real Estate / Sports starting 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

The Real Estate / Sports department represents the owner within the municipality of Baar and is responsible for the operation, management and maintenance of around 65 municipally owned properties. These include all school facilities, sports fields, the Lättich swimming pool, cemeteries, the town hall as well as other buildings and plots of land. Additionally, the Real Estate / Sports department is responsible for room management, market and club affairs as well as other service areas.

• Management of the department with five offices and a total of 76 employees in organisational, professional and financial terms
• Support of demanding projects in close cooperation with other departments and external partners
• Representation of the municipality in important negotiations and legal cases of the department
• Participation in the preparation of decision-making bases for the department board and the municipal council
• Co-responsible for the management of the entire administration as a member of the executive board

What you bring with you

• Strong leadership and organisational skills with diplomatic tact
• Professional experience in a comparable position
• Completed higher education in real estate, construction or business administration (e.g. Bachelor/Master in Real Estate Management, Facility Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Business Administration or comparable qualification)
• Sound business management knowledge
• Convincing appearance and networked thinking
