Service Manager Museum Café

Responsibilities

• You independently manage and organise the guest area, lead the service team operationally, work yourself in service, at the counter and in sales, and are the contact person for our guests.
• You plan the offerings to suit the exhibition themes, create the duty roster, monitor working hours and train employees on the job.
• You plan and oversee events from preparation to execution.
• You take on purchasing planning, check delivery notes, code invoices and handle general administrative tasks.
• You are responsible for correct cash management and daily accounting, compliance with operational hygiene according to the health inspectorate guidelines, as well as implementing the café concept and managing the operation in the absence of the café manager.

Profile

• Hotel management school qualification or solid professional training as Chef de Service with several years of experience in a comparable position
• Extensive expertise in service and banquet areas and enjoyment in working with international clientele
• Passionate host with strong customer focus and pronounced service readiness, flexible availability including evenings, weekends and public holidays,
• Team player, reliable, resilient and self-responsible personality with communication and organisational talent as well as experience in operational team leadership
• Good IT skills, German spoken and written, oral English skills and French skills are an advantage
