The Trade Marketer Field Force is responsible for the sustainable growth of business activities in the assigned territory, implementing sales and trade marketing activities in close collaboration with retail clients.
Acting as a trusted business partner, the role aims to develop strong business relationships, maximise product turnover, optimise distribution and availability at the point of sale, and strengthen JTI's position across all categories through a structured, data-driven sales approach compliant with applicable rules.
The Trade Marketer adopts a "win-win" approach, aligning JTI's commercial priorities with retailers' needs while continuously improving execution standards and market competitiveness.
- Field planning & execution
- Plan and execute client visits according to territory priorities and objectives
- Optimise tour plans to maximise commercial impact.
- Prepare visits based on performance data.
- Ensure consistent execution of sales, merchandising and trade marketing standards.
- Business analysis & client advice
- Analyse territory performance and identify opportunities and risks.
- Transform analyses into value-added commercial recommendations.
- Monitor competition and share market insights.
- Advise retailers on category management, assortment and visibility.
- Sales & negotiation
- Negotiate commercial agreements and volume initiatives within defined frameworks.
- Overcome objections and secure client commitment.
- Ensure compliance with agreements, regulations and planograms.
- Availability & logistics
- Ensure product availability at the point of sale.
- Influence orders according to established processes.
- Promote tools that improve availability and execution.
- Collaborate with Key Account and Trade Marketing teams.
- Management & reporting
- Achieve territory KPIs (distribution, volumes, market shares)
- Document activities and results in the CRM.
- Manage performance and continuously identify areas for improvement.
- Commercial or higher education (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of commercial experience, ideally FMCG.
- Knowledge of Swiss distribution (advantage).
- Fluency in French + good English.
- Valid driving licence (≥1 year).
- Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation and autonomy.
- Comfortable with digital tools (CRM, MS Office).
