As deputy section head of quality management, you support the further development and implementation of the quality and integrated management system of Protection and Rescue Bern. The Directorate for Security, Environment and Energy is committed to safety, protection and assistance, environmental protection, sustainable energy supply, and is responsible for building permit procedures as well as the Bern Zoo. Protection and Rescue Bern unites the professional and militia fire brigade of the city of Bern, the Bern ambulance service, and the civil protection organisation Bern plus. It operates the emergency call centres 118 and 144. The prevention and intervention areas of Protection and Rescue Bern provide the best possible safety and protection around the clock – in the federal city, the Bern agglomeration, and the canton.
What you achieve
- You support the QM section management in the development and implementation of the QM strategy as well as in organisational and resource planning
- You are responsible for error and complaint management and participate in certifications
- You assist in the planning and coordination of internal audits, conduct them, and implement continuous improvement process activities and QM projects
- You analyse and optimise QM processes and prepare process data, key figures, and quality reports
- You have the professional leadership and support of the CIRS processors and auditors and act as deputy to the QM section management in their absence
What you bring
- You have completed a commercial vocational training. Further training in quality management (e.g. CAS Quality Management, Quality Representative or ISO Auditor) is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in quality management / IMS as well as experience in the further development of management systems are advantageous
- Practical experience in planning and conducting internal and external audits as well as in continuous improvement projects is part of your expertise
- You have sound knowledge in process, project, error, complaint and risk management as well as good knowledge of applicable ISO standards
- You are strong in communication, have pronounced team and leadership skills, are self-responsible, resilient, and willing to embrace change
