Job Description
- Identification and exploitation of cross-selling, upselling, and contract renewal potentials with existing customers as well as acquisition of new customers in Ticino based on UMB's ICT solutions and service portfolio – with a clear focus on profitability
- Continuous monitoring of market trends and competitor activities as well as identification of new customer and business potentials in Ticino
- Proactive contribution of innovative and customer-needs-oriented solution approaches
- Handling public tenders in close cooperation with the bid team
- Independent management of the sales and pre-sales process – from needs analysis through offer preparation to contract conclusion – in close collaboration with internal specialists
- Advising customers on IT infrastructure topics as well as on as-a-service and cloud concepts
- Preparation of offers, solution sketches, and calculations involving internal specialists
- Presentation and negotiation of offers and solution concepts with a clear focus on customer benefit – towards IT managers and executive boards
- Close cooperation with engineering, delivery, and account management to ensure professional customer support
- Building, maintaining, and expanding long-term customer relationships as well as active networking with decision-makers in Ticino through personal market presence and trustworthy collaboration
- Structured further development of identified potentials through account planning as well as consistent maintenance of opportunities, next steps, and forecasts in the CRM
- Participation in targeted marketing and market development activities
- Solid understanding of current IT topics, especially in the following areas:
- IT infrastructure: on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments
- As-a-service models such as IaaS, UCaaS, SaaS, and ITaaS
- Several years of experience in ICT sales, pre-sales, consulting, or key account management, ideally in a complex B2B sales environment
- Experience with longer sales cycles, public tenders, multi-stakeholder environments, and customised solution architectures
- Strong interest in communication and telephony solutions as well as willingness to engage with them in depth
- Competence in developing solution concepts and preparing convincing offers
- Ability to explain complex IT solutions clearly and present them in a customer-oriented manner
- Independent, structured, and results-oriented working style
- Entrepreneurial thinking, strong customer orientation, and a good sense for business potentials
- Emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, resilience, and the ability to build long-term trust
- Very good knowledge of the Ticino market and ideally an existing regional network
- Language skills:
- Italian: business fluent, ideally at native speaker level
- German: good to very good oral skills
- English: knowledge is an advantage
