About the job

The Faculty Affairs team is part of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Faculty and ensures professional and high-quality appointment and promotion procedures at the University of St.Gallen. Applications from academic re-entrants are warmly welcome, as are individual applications from persons who would like to take the position in job-sharing.

Your tasks

Operational management of appointment procedures: chairing meetings including preparation and follow-up, substantive preparation of procedures, coordination with the schools
Advising the faculty/schools/deans/chairs on appointment procedures
Interface to other service areas of HSG (HR, teaching planning)
Support in dual career cases
Coordination of continuing education offers for the faculty (onboarding workshops for new faculty, professorial leadership, etc.)

Your profile

Relevant experience in science management or own research experience
Knowledge of the university context and academic career paths
Completed university degree
Strong solution- and service-oriented attitude
High flexibility and willingness to perform
Confident negotiation and communication skills
Confidence in working with different professional cultures and stakeholders
Very good English and German skills
