About the job
The Faculty Affairs team is part of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Faculty and ensures professional and high-quality appointment and promotion procedures at the University of St.Gallen. Applications from academic re-entrants are warmly welcome, as are individual applications from persons who would like to take the position in job-sharing.
Your tasks
- Operational management of appointment procedures: chairing meetings including preparation and follow-up, substantive preparation of procedures, coordination with the schools
- Advising the faculty/schools/deans/chairs on appointment procedures
- Interface to other service areas of HSG (HR, teaching planning)
- Support in dual career cases
- Coordination of continuing education offers for the faculty (onboarding workshops for new faculty, professorial leadership, etc.)
Your profile
- Relevant experience in science management or own research experience
- Knowledge of the university context and academic career paths
- Completed university degree
- Strong solution- and service-oriented attitude
- High flexibility and willingness to perform
- Confident negotiation and communication skills
- Confidence in working with different professional cultures and stakeholders
- Very good English and German skills
