MARU is a Japanese Comfort Food Takeaway restaurant at Zurich HB. Here we cook and serve delicious Japanese dishes that are still rather unknown in Switzerland – e.g. Donburi, Karaage, Udon or traditional Matcha. In recent years, we have developed into an indispensable part of Zurich main station and have a loyal clientele.

The MARU store at Zurich HB is looking for a strong team leader with drive and leadership skills. You lead a large team, manage the operation and ensure a culinary experience that our guests will love.

Managing Director MARU Restaurant 100% (m/f/d) HB

Your Tasks

• You operate the location and are responsible for sales, costs, results, quality, guest satisfaction and the team
• You develop your team in leadership, role modelling and enjoyment of gastronomy
• The satisfaction of our guests is your top priority
• You lead your team with commitment, recruit new talents and take care of the work schedules
• Administrative tasks such as billing, inventories and time control are your responsibility
• You plan promotions, support marketing and contribute your own ideas
• You actively shape employee training, discussions and team meetings
• You actively pitch in during day-to-day business and support your team especially during peak times

What You Bring

• Completed training in gastronomy, hotel management or system gastronomy; business management further education is an advantage
• 5 years of professional experience in gastronomy
• 2-3 years of leadership experience
• Very good German and English skills, and any additional language is an advantage
• Good PC user skills
• Independence, organisational talent and a warm demeanour
