Within Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Design & Art, the Bachelor Video programme conveys central aspects of cinematic design and focuses on the diverse forms and methods of documentary filmmaking. During the course of study, students work through the entire production process: from the idea and research to the shooting script, through filming and editing, to film evaluation. Practical teaching imparts technical craftsmanship, creative competence and theoretical knowledge. In their own short film projects, students apply new knowledge, test it, deepen it, reinterpret it and combine it.
From 15 October 2026, we are looking for you for the Bachelor Video programme, limited to 6 months, as
Artistic Assistant 50%
Your tasks
- Supporting the head of the study programme in organising and administering teaching (e.g. semester planning, budget management and study trips)
- Supporting lecturers in planning and conducting their teaching
- Contact person for students as well as preparation and processing of project-related enquiries
- Preparation and follow-up of meetings and working groups as well as participation therein
- Teaching-related or subject-specific minute-taking (e.g. at team meetings)
- Preparation and execution of events (e.g. information days, exhibitions and final film premieres)
- Participation in accounting
- Management of social media channels, blog, website, archive and Vimeo channel
- Supervision of student assistants
- Assuming general tasks in Bachelor Video
Your profile
- Completed university degree (Bachelor or equivalent), preferably in film
- Strong organisational talent as well as an independent, structured and reliable working style
- Commercial expertise is an advantage
- Confident handling of online media
- Good knowledge of Mac and MS Office
- Fluent use of the German language in speech and writing as well as good English skills
- Enjoyment of exchange within the team and with students as well as interest in critical engagement with topics such as diversity, anti-racism, gender and class
