With nearly 1,500 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG) is a medical centre focused on the elderly and is spread across 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency department of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-related specific issues, medical rehabilitation and palliative care.
The Internal Medicine and Rehabilitation Service of Beau-Séjour Hospital (STERN building) consists of acute care units and rehabilitation care units, welcoming patients under 75 years old requiring multidisciplinary care.
Since June 2024, the activities of the SMIR Beau-Séjour have been located in the Lina Stern building on the Cluse-Roseraie site during renovation works.
Job Description
As a nurse within an internal medicine and rehabilitation or acute care unit, you autonomously and/or under medical delegation provide comprehensive and personalised care to patients requiring acute internal medicine care or rehabilitation treatments.
You work within an interprofessional team and coordinate the care services provided to patients. You ensure continuity of somatic care and maintain a psychotherapeutic framework developed by a multidisciplinary team.
You also perform supervisory and teaching roles for trainees and new staff members.
Finally, you contribute to the development of care quality and engage in professional reflection based on the analysis of nursing care practices.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or an equivalent nursing diploma recognised by the Swiss Red Cross. Experience in acute care or rehabilitation is an asset.
You have two years of experience in general nursing.
You possess great rigour as well as a keen sense of organisation, stress management and prioritisation. Furthermore, you demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong interest either in internal medicine or rehabilitation.
You are reactive and have excellent analytical skills for clinical situations.
Thanks to your team spirit and communication skills, you work interprofessionally to unite all partners around a common vision to develop care projects aimed at optimal care for patients and their relatives. You appreciate collaboration and working in a multidisciplinary team.
Comfort with IT tools is necessary to successfully carry out this role, as well as a good knowledge of the French language.
