To strengthen our team in Zurich, we are looking for a distinguished journalist with a solid background in questions regarding the development of Artificial Intelligence from October 2026 or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Expansion of the topic area Artificial Intelligence (AI) as part of the NZZ Pro offering, closely following developments in the field.
- Collaboration with other departments in generating and implementing ideas.
- Writing outstanding analyses and commentaries on the topic of AI, often in cooperation with colleagues from other departments and with our visual experts across various multimedia channels (articles, newsletters, podcasts, videos).
- Appearance as an AI expert in live talks, at NZZ events, and at NZZ Academy.
- Editing and producing articles and newsletters.
- Your topic portfolio: Global development of Artificial Intelligence with special consideration of its geopolitical, economic, and societal impacts.
Your profile
- You are fascinated by the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence and its economic, societal, and technical impacts.
- You enjoy following and deeply understanding this topic area.
- You have a talent for clearly and understandably explaining complex contexts and developments.
- You have a completed degree and bring in-depth experience and useful contacts in your field.
- You are a liberal journalist by passion and have a broad outlook.
- Working in a team, interacting with people, and public appearances motivate you.
