The Institute for Continuing Education and Services supports teachers, school and day-care centre leaders in their work with a wide range of further education and advisory services, educational media and other services.
The Cross-Reality Media Centre (XRM) supports and inspires teachers in lesson design with innovative and practice-oriented educational media and services – from analogue to digital.
Your tasks
- Content-related, strategic, personnel and financial responsibility for the Media Library portfolio
- Ensuring the operation of the Media Library (selection, acquisition, cataloguing, preparation, use), coordination and leadership of specialist groups as well as training of apprentices
- Evaluation, further development and visibility of the offerings, oriented to the needs of the customers
- Development of an Open Library concept and its implementation
- Collaboration with the other offering portfolios of the institute
- Participation in the further development of the XR Media Centre
- Leadership and participation in projects
- Building and maintaining a network with strategic and subject-related partners inside and outside PHBern
Your profile
- University degree in library and information science or a related field
- Many years of professional experience in the library environment
- Leadership skills and enjoyment in working with a committed team
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Problem-solving and innovation skills
- Planning and organisational skills
- Teamwork, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to accept criticism, resilience and perseverance
