Immediate start or by arrangement
The railway moves us – and we move the rail logistics of tomorrow. Planzer already transports over 60% of its shipments by rail and handles around 90,000 rail shipments annually within the CDS network. From 2027, we will fundamentally redesign our rail network: a new transport network will be created at more than 20 stations across Switzerland. The go-live is scheduled for early 2029. Do you want to help shape this future project from the very beginning? Then join us!
- You will take overall project management responsibility for the conception, planning and implementation of the new nationwide rail transport network until the go-live in early 2029 and beyond.
- Develop network and train concept: Together with our transport and logistics experts, you will plan train runs, timetables, capacities and production concepts for more than 20 stations with over 30 CDS rail centres.
- You will optimise the future rail network in terms of quality, cost, stability and scalability and coordinate the necessary track slot orders.
- Design operational concepts: Together with the locations, you will develop shunting, transshipment and operational concepts – from train arrival to departure.
- You will coordinate the requirements of our CDS companies, railway undertakings, infrastructure partners and other stakeholders and combine them into a nationwide operational concept.
- From concept to go-live: You will manage implementation, migration, schedules, costs, risks and project progress and ensure coordination of rail production, road transport, IT and operational processes.
- You bring several years of experience in rail freight transport, railway operations, rail production or rail network planning.
- You are well acquainted with the Swiss rail landscape and ideally have experience working with infrastructure operators and railway undertakings.
- You have sound knowledge of track and timetable planning, shunting processes, siding tracks, terminals or production concepts in rail freight transport.
- You enjoy leading demanding projects: You have experience managing cross-departmental and cross-company initiatives and bringing different interests to a common result.
- You think analytically and conceptually, recognise complex interrelationships and translate them into pragmatic, implementable solutions.
- You are characterised by personal responsibility and negotiation skills. A university or university of applied sciences degree in business informatics, computer science, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, industrial engineering or a comparable field is an advantage but not a requirement. Very good German skills are required; French and/or Italian skills are an advantage.
