Grand Casino Bern stands for a unique guest experience, professional hospitality quality, safety, and responsible gaming. For the overall operational responsibility of our land-based casino, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, strong leadership, and integral personality who will further develop the operation with a high service orientation, efficiency, and regulatory security.

As Chief Operating Officer (COO) Land-based Casino, you bear the overall responsibility for the operational management of the land-based casino. You report directly to the CEO and, as a member of the Executive Board, are actively involved in the strategic and operational development of the company.


 



Your area of responsibility

• Overall responsibility for the operational casino
• Direct leadership, development, and coaching of the subordinate department heads
• Ensuring service quality, guest experience, and operational excellence
• Responsibility for safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Overall responsibility for infrastructure, technology, facility management, and investments
• Responsibility for budget, resources, and operational performance
• Management of strategic and cross-departmental projects

• Several years of successful leadership experience in a comparable management role
• Higher education (HF, FH or university) in business administration, hospitality, security management, or further training at MAS or MBA level
• Strong entrepreneurial and analytical thinking
• Solid operational and regulatory knowledge in the areas of safety, cash management, technical infrastructure, service quality, compliance, and player protection
• Strong leadership and social skills
• Knowledge of the Money Gaming Act (BGS) and the corresponding ordinances or willingness to acquire this knowledge quickly
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good English skills, French is an advantage
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Impeccable reputation (criminal and debt register extracts will be requested upon contract signing)
