Numbers, technology and variety – a versatile role between office and field service
You enjoy working with numbers, are interested in technology and don’t want to spend the whole day at a desk? Then this position could be just right for you.
Roland Meyer AG, an engineering office for energy costs, has been a competent contact for 34 years for the individual and consumption-based billing of heating, hot water, cold water and electricity costs. We prepare energy and water cost statements on behalf of property management companies, housing cooperatives and private owners.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and reliable person from 1 November 2026. Your role combines variety in the office, assignments in the field and exciting insights into the technology of our metering systems. You will be gradually introduced to your tasks and will take on increasing responsibility as you gain experience.
What to expect
- You organise and carry out meter readings on site at our customers and perform remote readings with a laptop.
- You process the necessary administrative documents and ensure that the basis for correct billing is accurate.
- You prepare heating, energy and water cost statements and accompany these from data collection to the finished statement.
- You perform balancing calculations.
- You handle service cases and organise individual meter replacements.
- You gain insight into our metering systems and hardware and can gradually acquire technical know-how.
Your profile
You enjoy working independently, are reliable and like to familiarise yourself with new topics. Ideally, you bring:
- Commercial or technical training (e.g. HVAC/building services) with commercial further education
- Good IT user skills, especially in Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
- A strong flair for numbers and technical understanding
- Independent, careful and reliable working style
- Enjoyment of varied tasks between office and field service
- Willingness to familiarise yourself with our specific processes and metering systems
- At least 3 years of professional experience
- Motivation and flexibility to keep an overview even during our seasonal peak periods
What we offer you You can expect a varied role with a lot of personal responsibility and a well-coordinated team.
- 100% workload with 25 days’ holiday and 13 paid public holidays, excluding local holidays
- A versatile and responsible role in a specialised professional environment with a future
- An open and appreciative working atmosphere as well as short decision-making paths
- Independent work after comprehensive and careful induction
- An open-minded and motivated team
