Your tasks

• You manage and lead the department's strategic projects
• You support and advise the head of the department in the area of strategy and innovation
• You ensure strategic monitoring of legal and economic developments
• You support and advise the permanent delegation of Sion Airport in their decisions
• You accompany the development of the Innovation Park Campus Energypolis
• You represent the Canton of Valais on the Board of Directors of Energypolis AG
• You chair the project committee of the ScaleTec programme of the The Ark Foundation
• You are the main contact person for the canton regarding the Post
• You collaborate with other cantonal offices, federal authorities and external partners

Your profile

• University degree in economics (Master's) or an equivalent qualification
• Proven experience in managing complex projects
• Sound knowledge of the Valais economy
• Comprehensive knowledge of the functioning of the canton’s public institutions
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills
• Political and strategic acumen
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to act quickly and make decisions
• Initiative and assertiveness
• Proven ability to network, collaborate and take on a leadership role
• Native German or French speaker with very good knowledge of the second official language, both spoken and written; knowledge of English would be an advantage
