At our Blind and Disabled Centre Bern – the "B" – 360 people work, about half of them at an adapted workplace. For over 140 years, we have been committed to blind, visually and multiply impaired persons and, in addition to the cantonal advisory centre, also offer various forms of accommodation. Your tasks in the care and support team

• You accompany and care for residents of the "B" and help shape their daily lives
• You take on daily responsibility including documentation
• You focus on the resources of the people
• You engage as a key person and maintain contact with their family and environment
• You work interdisciplinarily on projects within the "B"

• "you work with us in a pleasant tone and don’t boss us around";
• "you like to do things with us, such as baking, reading aloud, playing and making music";
• "you accompany us to the Gelateria di Berna and eat an ice cream with us";
• "you respect our privacy"

Ideally, you bring the following

• completed training as a Care Specialist (FaBe)
• possibly experience as a trainer or willingness to take on this role
• independent, structured and goal-oriented working style
• willingness to familiarise yourself with the topic of visual impairment
• enjoyment in communicating with involved professionals
• experience and training in practical life skills are an advantage
