About the job
We are looking for an Applied Exercise Scientist with a solid scientific background in exercise physiology and performance testing for our performance testing department. You bring a passion for elite sport, enjoy working with athletes, are open to various scientific measurement methods, and value collaboration in an interdisciplinary team. Are you eager for a new challenge in a unique, agile environment in elite sport? Then become part of our team now.
HOW WILL YOU SHAPE THE FUTURE OF ELITE SPORT WITH US?
- You plan, conduct, and evaluate scientifically based performance tests in endurance with top athletes and contribute to analysing and further developing their performance capabilities.
- You perform spiroergometric performance tests including respiratory gas analysis and relevant cardiovascular and metabolic parameters.
- You independently apply various test protocols in endurance and adapt them according to the specific question, sport, and performance level (e.g. stepwise load tests, ramp protocols, constant loads, and sport-specific test procedures).
- You select suitable measurement methods and test protocols and ensure their standardised and high-quality implementation on various ergometric systems and with different scientific measuring devices.
- You evaluate measurement results, interpret and classify them considering individual performance requirements and the sport-specific context, discuss the results with the athletes, and derive relevant insights for training and performance development.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES YOU?
- You have a completed MSc degree in movement sciences and sport, sports science, exercise physiology, or a comparable qualification.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of exercise physiology and endurance physiology as well as several years of experience in conducting and evaluating scientific measurements and performance tests.
- You have proven experience in conducting spiroergometric performance tests and interpreting respiratory gas, cardiovascular, and performance-related parameters.
- You have experience with various measuring devices and diagnostic systems and can use them independently and to the highest quality standards.
- You have extensive experience in applying different test protocols in endurance and can select and implement them purposefully depending on the question, sport, and performance level.
- You are confident in evaluating, interpreting, and critically classifying performance data and work independently, precisely, and quality-oriented.
- You have experience working with elite athletes, enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration, and can clearly communicate complex physiological relationships.
WHAT CAN YOU LOOK FORWARD TO?
We offer you the opportunity to apply your expertise in performance testing and exercise physiology directly in elite sport. You will work with emerging and established top athletes and address demanding questions regarding the analysis and development of athletic performance in an interdisciplinary team. You can expect an environment where scientific expertise, modern performance tests, and practical application in elite sport are closely linked. And the best part: our modern training infrastructure is available to you outside of operating hours for your personal training.
HAVE WE CONVINCED YOU?
Then apply today directly with a cover letter, CV, diplomas, and references. We look forward to getting to know you better.
