About the job
Understand problems. Drive solutions. Ensure quality.
Quality means more to you than just recognising errors? You want to understand why something doesn’t work, develop solutions together with others, and ensure that problems are resolved sustainably?
At EAO, you will face diverse challenges around our products and processes, from mechanics to electronics to firmware. As a Quality Engineer, you take responsibility for demanding issues, bring the right experts together, and actively drive improvements. You will work in a motivated team that supports each other, tackles tasks together, and also enjoys a good laugh.
Human Machine Interfaces. Since 1947. As an internationally active Swiss family business, we are today among the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality pushbuttons, switches, and sophisticated operating elements up to complete HMI operating units and systems.
Your scope of influence.
- In the role of problem owner, you manage the handling of customer complaints – from initial analysis through root cause investigation to sustainable problem resolution.
- You systematically get to the bottom of technical problems, applying proven quality methods such as 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa, and develop effective improvement measures together with the responsible departments.
- In interdisciplinary collaboration, you bring the right experts to the table, coordinate problem-solving teams, and ensure that agreed measures are consistently implemented and their effectiveness checked.
- You are also involved in quality-relevant decisions: you coordinate material quarantines, approvals, and rework, initiate production or delivery stops if necessary according to applicable guidelines, and ensure transparent communication with all parties involved.
Your profile – more than just expertise.
- A technical basic education, ideally supplemented by further training in quality management, or solid professional experience in the quality field acquired over several years.
- Experience in quality or complaint management, preferably in an industrial environment, as well as knowledge of common quality methods such as FMEA, Poka Yoke, MSA, and FAI.
- Familiarity with systematic problem-solving techniques such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Why, and ideally knowledge of Lean Management, Six Sigma, or KVP.
- An analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style, combined with initiative, a sense of responsibility, and assertiveness. Strong communication skills, diplomatic tact, and enjoyment in developing sustainable solutions together with different departments.
Our added value for you.
- Our own EAO Academy and in-house English courses support your personal and professional development.
- Our corporate culture thrives on exchange and collaboration – through interdisciplinary networks and joint activities that create genuine connection.
