As an innovation and learning platform of the cooperative movement, the housing cooperative initiates and promotes progressive projects as well as scalable solutions on the path to net zero. At our two locations in Zurich-North and Oberwinterthur, we offer around 1,800 people living and living space in about 550 apartments as well as a versatile range of services and a wide range of commercial spaces where over 175 people work.

To strengthen our management team, we are looking for a reliable, committed and independent personality for our sites in Oberwinterthur and Zurich Oerlikon who takes responsibility and keeps an overview even in demanding situations. In this versatile role, you make an important contribution to the smooth operation of our properties and, together with the team, ensure that our residents and commercial tenants feel comfortable every day.

Your tasks

• Independent management of our property portfolio for residential and commercial properties
• Responsibility for the entire rental process of apartments and commercial spaces, including viewings, inspections and handovers
• Support of our cooperative members in all rental matters
• Professional management of caretaking and administration
• Planning and coordination of property maintenance including obtaining quotes, budgeting and cost control in consultation with the department management
• Invoice checking and coding
• Processing and handling of damage and insurance cases
• Communication and coordination with internal and external contacts
• Representation of the owner in conciliation proceedings by arrangement
• Support and deputising in our other sites
• Participation in evening events within the framework of participatory processes of the cooperative
• Involvement in research projects as well as reporting, data collection and statistics

Your profile

• Commercial or technical training with further education as a property manager with a federal diploma
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable position
• Good knowledge of tenancy law and property accounting
• Confident German in spoken and written form, additional languages an advantage
• Good industry-specific IT skills, experience with AbaImmo an advantage
• Independent, responsible and resilient personality
• Team player, empathetic and service-oriented
• Experience with new construction projects, renovation planning and defect management an advantage
• Interest in sustainability and environmental issues as well as in our net zero goals
• Experience in the cooperative environment an advantage
