Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Head of Construction Management for Building & Industrial Construction to manage demanding construction projects in industrial, pharmaceutical and infrastructure construction. You will coordinate interdisciplinary project teams and accompany the projects from tendering and awarding through cost and execution planning to realisation. Depending on the project, you will take on the role of senior site manager or specialist site manager and ensure timely, cost-effective and quality-compliant implementation on site. The role combines construction management, technical coordination and site leadership with high demands on occupational safety and regulated project environments.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary project and construction management teams
Management of demanding building, industrial and pharmaceutical construction projects
Preparation and handling of tenders, submissions, awards and contracts
Responsibility for cost planning, cost control and ongoing project forecasts
Coordination and review of project, execution and detailed planning
Preparation and coordination of technical specifications and service descriptions
Coordination of interfaces between architecture, specialist planning, building services and execution
Independent assumption of senior site management and specialist site management
Monitoring of deadlines, quality, costs and contractual services during realisation
Coordination of executing companies, suppliers and specialists on site
Definition and monitoring of requirements for occupational safety and health protection
Support of acceptances, commissioning, defect rectification and project handovers
Qualifications:
Construction-related training as site manager, draughtsman EFZ specialising in architecture, architect FH/ETH, technician HF or specialist engineer
At least 5 years of professional experience in construction management or site management
Experience with industrial, pharmaceutical or infrastructure construction is an advantage
Sound knowledge of tendering, awarding, contract management and cost management
Knowledge of relevant building regulations in the canton of Valais as well as Swiss construction processes
Knowledge in the area of occupational safety and health protection on construction sites
Very good German skills and good English skills are an advantage
