IT Security Engineer (80%)

What you achieve with us – your meaningful tasks

With our information security strategy, we specifically develop our security capabilities. As an IT Security Engineer, you play a central role: you ensure that information security is effectively implemented in architecture, development, and operations, and you support our agile Continuous Delivery Teams (CDT) with technical security issues. At the same time, you work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and act as their deputy.

Specifically:

• You work operationally as part of the 1st Line of Defence in the IT Operations and Support team, with a clear focus on security topics. You form the technical link between the CISO in the 2nd Line, System Engineering, and the CDTs.
• You act as deputy to the CISO and represent them as needed in defined security topics and committees.
• You support our CDTs with security questions, assess security controls, and contribute to ISDS concepts to ensure that information security is integrated early in projects in the spirit of "Shift Left".
• You contribute to the development and automation of technical security controls, security assessments, risk analyses, security incidents, and the further development of our cyber resilience.
• You assess security aspects of cloud, platform, infrastructure, and application architectures and develop appropriate security measures together with the responsible teams.
• You monitor new threats and technologies and derive concrete measures together with the CISO and IT teams.

What sets you apart – this is why you are our wow

• You bring several years of professional experience in IT or cybersecurity, preferably in a technically oriented security or system engineering role.
• You are very familiar with Microsoft Azure, cloud security, as well as modern platform and application architectures.
• You have experience with DevSecOps, secure development, CI/CD security, security by design, and technical security controls. Knowledge in AI security, e.g. regarding OWASP Top 10 for LLMs/GenAI, is a plus.
• Ideally, you are also familiar with data protection and established security frameworks such as NIST, CSF, or ISO/IEC 27001 and hold an advanced cybersecurity qualification (e.g. degree or certifications like CISSP, CCSP, or CISM).
• You are communicative, enjoy working in a team, and convey complex technical matters appropriately to the audience.
• You communicate confidently in German, both orally and in writing. Additionally, you can confidently participate in English-speaking meetings, technical concepts, or documentation.
