What to expect
- Providing, installing, monitoring, and maintaining new and existing hardware, software, and network components as well as communication facilities
- Moving and dismantling workplace systems
- Educating users about the proper use of the offered IT resources
- Arranging repairs or replacing defective devices
- Receiving and analyzing malfunctions, initiating and monitoring measures to resolve them
- Locating and fixing faults in hardware, software, and network areas
- Sustainable problem management as part of continuous improvement
- Evaluating and implementing technical improvements to increase stability and security
- Standardizing installation and operating processes to unify the system landscape
- Planning and testing updates and upgrades in the productive environment
- Close collaboration with other IT departments to optimize interfaces and workflows
- Maintaining and expanding local networks as well as installed hardware and software in cooperation with Network Engineering
- Forwarding malfunction reports and questions to the responsible departments (second-level support)
What you bring
- Training in the field of computer science or equivalent knowledge as ICT technicians
- At least 3 years of practical experience in IT support
- Experience with client and server operating systems
- Good knowledge of MS Office (M365)
- Know-how in hardware (clients & peripherals)
- Good knowledge of networking
- Very good German skills / good English skills
