Clerk: Central Student Administration and International Office (80%)
University of Art and Design Basel FHNW, Staff
- You record and maintain data in the university administration systems Evento and Mobility Online.
- You support the Central Student Administration in various processes along the Student Life Cycle, especially with enrolments, semester registrations, semester invoices, study confirmations, graduation documents and deregistrations.
- You handle the correspondence of the International Office with partner universities, degree programmes, students and staff.
- You are the central contact person for questions regarding student and staff mobility as well as for concerns of international students.
- You create and update informational materials and organise and conduct information events on the topic of mobility.
- You maintain and update the content related to the International section on the website and in the FHNW intranet "Inside".
- You take care of the accounting of incoming invoices, create outgoing invoices and process cash and credit card statements.
- You support general commercial and administrative tasks, for example at the counter and telephone service, in processing incoming and outgoing mail, as well as in ordering office supplies.
You are a team-oriented, committed and service-minded personality, working independently and in a structured manner and gladly taking on responsibility. You have a commercial education or a bachelor’s degree as well as several years of professional experience in an administrative environment. You enjoy working with students. You approach different concerns with patience, understanding and a courteous attitude and keep an overview even in a varied and dynamic work environment.
In addition, you bring the following qualifications and experiences:
- Experience in the higher education sector or International Office is an advantage but not a requirement
- Proficient use of MS Office 365 and MS Teams
- Experience with Evento, Mobility Online or another university administration software is an advantage
- Very good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form; further foreign language skills are an advantage
- An independent, structured and careful way of working
- A quick grasp as well as the willingness to contribute proactively and take responsibility
- Strong team spirit, helpfulness and enjoyment of collaboration
- A pronounced service orientation and pleasure in competently and kindly supporting students and staff
The Central Student Administration accompanies the administrative processes along the entire Student Life Cycle – from enrolment to graduation. The International Office is part of the Central Student Administration and is responsible for student and staff mobility.
In this versatile role, you combine administrative tasks with international topics and maintain close contact with students, staff and partner universities at home and abroad.
